Chipotle Turkey Burgers with sweet potato buns ? It’s been a hot minute since I made turkey burgers and I wanted to put a spicier twist on my go to recipe ? So these chipotle turkey burgers were born and they tasted even better than the original⠀

I truly don’t want to even think about how many sweet potatoes I consume in a year ? Honestly it’s probably in the hundreds ? But they’re so versatile (as Eli pointed out the other day with my sweet potato waffle ?) and they’re so affordable! It’s way more reasonable to make these gluten free/paleo buns in 10 minutes vs buying $10 paleo buns from the store. Sure those are great too and I love being able to treat ourselves to stuff like that but as far as every day meals- I love finding affordable options ?? So maybe I eat too many sweet potatoes but I’d rather do that than spend all my money on expensive products or worse- eat the burger without a bun ? Haha whatever you choose to do- you’ll love these burgers because they are oh so tasty!⠀

healthydinner details ?? Chipotle Turkey Burgers: (adding recipe to my site tonight!) 1 lb ground turkey ⠀
1/2 onion, diced ⠀
1/4 cup chopped spinach ⠀
1/2 tsp chipotle powder ⠀
1 tsp garlic powder ⠀
1 tsp onion powder⠀
. ⠀
Heat a skillet over medium heat and sauté the onion for 3-4 mins then add in spinach and sauté another minute. Remove and add into a bowl with the turkey and spices. Mix together and form burgers, I made 5. Then cook over medium heat for about 6-7 minutes on each side in avocado oil. Check the internal temp to make sure it’s good to go- I’m paranoid about meat temps haha. To make the sweet potato buns: ⠀
Slice 1 sweet potato into thick rounds. Pick a large sweet potato that’s pretty round. Broil on the bottom shelf for 10 minutes. That’s it!! Enjoy
