In past times it was thought that eggs needed to be avoided. We now know (from science) that:
• It is not necessary to avoid eggs due to cholesterol
• Some cholesterol is necessary for the body. In fact, the body MAKES cholesterol
• When dietary intake of cholesterol increases, the amount produced by the body decreases in order to maintain an optimal level in our blood. High levels of saturated fat intake are what increase cholesterol And our risk of heart disease and stroke.
• The difference between brown and white eggs is just the type of hen they came from, they are not different nutritionally.
