Quite a few people are confused by how much they should be eating. Even though there are some guidelines available, they may not necessarily suit everyone because we all have different lifestyles, different activity levels and different metabolisms.
You kind of have to do what is best for you and eat according to your lifestyle, activity levels and metabolism. However, if I were to give you a guideline, it would be this. On a daily basis try to eat at least: •
🌿Three servings of whole grains (rice, barley, quinoa) and starchy vegetables (potatoes)
🌿Three servings of legumes (beans and lentils).
🌿Five servings of vegetables (choose from the full rainbow of colourful vegetables)
🌿Four servings of fruits (choose from the full rainbow of colourful fruits)
🌿One serving of nuts and seeds
Please remember that these are not the exact quantities you need to eat. You may need more or you may need less. Listen to your body always.
Okay so I’m presenting you what I’m feeding my kids tonight 🙈 Bean chilli with 🍚. There’s no 🌶 in it at all. I’m planning something totally different for myself, but I haven’t started cooking it and I’m tired already so I don’t know if I’ll get round to making it or if I’ll just make some oats and go to bed…sounding very likely right now.
