Who wants to subjugate themselves to a life of eating bland food and never having any fun while eating? Seems like a lot of people fear that will be their fate if they start living a healthy lifestyle.
The good news is that this is really blown out of the water and doesn’t have to be the case. All of the sauces and seasonings in the graphic are very low calorie ways to add spice and flavor to almost any dish you can think of.
Eggs in the morning? Sriracha or hot sauce makes them that much better. Turkey sandwhich for lunch? Put a dash of seasoning on it and some balsamic vinaigrette. Chicken breast for dinner? Cover it in some fresh salsa and lightly season it with pepper and garlic salt. I personally love spicy food and so I will put sriracha, hot sauce, and spicy salsas on pretty much anything.
The options for creating delicious dishes are endless. The bottom line is that having the majority of your food come from whole, nutritious foods should be anything but bland and boring. And it’s a whole lot more satisfying too.
