Oats are one of the best superfoods to include daily…
➡️ They’re great for B vitamins, vitamin E, protein and Minerals.
➡️ Oats are rich in both insoluble and soluble fibre- great for the gut!
➡️ Oats contain prebiotic fibre which acts as the food for good bacteria in our gut!
➡️ One of the soluble fibre types is beta-glucan, which has actually been shown to help lower bad blood cholesterol ????.
➡️➡️The way oats are processed affects the glycemic index of different types. Steel cut followed by whole rolled oats have the lowest GI which is beneficial for blood sugar levels, insulin response, fat storage and satiety. Quick oats have the highest GI therefore are not as favourable an option.
