Make eating “healthy” WAY less boring! ?Swipe to see to how!
If you’re on a New Year health kick, that’s understandable, but make sure it’s truly about health and not just a fad trend that will do more harm than good. For example, a true health-promoting behavior might be to use cooking methods and delish seasonings (swipe right to get my air fryer carrot recipe!) that help you ENJOY food. This can actually increase the nutrient density of your diet because you’ll WANT to eat foods, like veggies, more often! One option? Try the seasoning MSG which actually has less sodium than table salt (about 66% less!) and also adds a delicious umami flavor to nutrient dense foods to increase enjoyment!
And for all of you thinking “but MSG isn’t healthy, right?!” Extensive scientific research confirms MSG’s safety & role in the diet. (I have a whole blog post that I can link in my stories for you- or just search “MSG” on my blog linked in my bio!) The demonization is actually from diet culture and xenophobia.
.
⭐️ food is meant to be ENJOYED! It SHOULD taste good! You don’t need to force yourself to eat bland, boring foods any longer ❤️ Get rid of the old, diet culture way of thinking- where you have to eat bland, boring food that sucks- and focus on adding flavor you enjoy!
.
Instead of avoiding & saying NO to MSG I recommend working on getting to KNOW MSG (I hope this post was helpful in easing fears!) & developing a healthy relationship with foods that you enjoy.

A lot of people will use the excuse that ‘healthy’ eating is unaffordable and not convenient. Making your goals work for you is all about perspective and assessing the best choice in the context of your lifestyle as opposed to the ‘easy’ option. Here we have two lunch options both only minutes apart in preparation and the wiser option significantly cheaper in cost. ✅ Go the extra mile for the sake of your health and fitness goals and schedule preparation time during the week to take a nutritious and macro friendly meal to work each day that will avoid ⚠️ An unnecessary expense and ⚠️ Quadruple the calories.

KNOW – EATING HEALTHY
Eating “healthy” isn’t the be all end all when it comes to weight loss. For example, you may be eating healthy, but consuming a lot of calorie-dense foods, like olive oil. One tablespoon adds 120 calories to whatever light salad you may be eating for lunch.
If you have kids, it’s easy to finish food off their plate. I don’t have any but whenever I’m around my niece or nephew I’ve been known to sneak a chicken nugget or two off their plates.
If you eat healthy, but then go drink a ton of alcohol on the weekend, you’re setting yourself up for failure. I’m not saying you can’t have a drink and still reach your fitness goals. But binge drinking most of the weekend simply won’t work no matter how clean you eat during the week.
