If you write recipes regularly you’ll already know that there’s a difference between ‘prepping’ time and ‘cooking’ time. Prepping time is when you prepare your ingredients for cooking e.g chopping onions or garlic, rinsing rice etc. Cooking time is obviously when your food is cooking away on the stove.

In my last post, I mentioned that it took me only 2 minutes to prep the meal. And that’s because all I did was arrange the chips and burgers on a baking tray. It took about 25 minutes to cook the meal. Usually it takes me longer to prep meals when I’m cooking for scratch… Someone commented on my last post that I was misleading my viewers and falsely advertising that it took me 2 minutes to prep my meal. The last thing I want to do is mislead anyone. So if you also felt that way, I hope my explanation above clarified things. That said, if you watched my stories, you would have heard me say the food was ‘cooking’ in the oven. I’ve never come across frozen food that cooks in 2 minutes… have you?

Anyway.. rant over!
