I’m not currently trying to lose weight, but this bowl is a good representation of the way you should be eating if you’re trying to.
Fill ⅓ to ½ of your bowl with vegetables and fill the rest with whole grains or starchy vegetables like potatoes, and legumes. You can also include fruits if you wish, but try not to go overboard with them. As they’re so yummy, you could easily eat tonnes without realising.
You’ll also note that this bowl doesn’t contain any healthy fats. I added a few slices of avocado afterwards, but if you’re trying to lose weight, you may want to cut it out temporarily. You want to keep your intake of nuts, seeds and avocado low until you reach your ideal weight and then add them back in moderate quantities.
