?Nothing like a good workout to start the day. Don’t you think? Plus some glorious sunshine always helps?. Happy Tuesday friends. These are some savory onion chickpea turmeric patty I made as part of yesterday’s dinner. Topped with avocado cilantro cream and hemp hearts.?.
.
.?Recipe: Mix 1c garbanzo flour + 1/2tsp baking powder, 1/2tsp salt. Add 1c water + 1 tbsp olive oil and mix into pancake-like batter. (If too thick, add a little more water.) In a sauté pan, cook 1 finely chopped large onion in 1 tbsp olive oil. Sauté until translucent and then add 1/4 tsp sea salt, 1 tsp turmeric and 1 tsp chili powder. Sauté another minute. Mix cooked onion into batter until fully incorporated. Pour 1/2 of batter into small, round skillet and bake about 10 minutes at 375F until cooked through. Repeat for second half of batter.?.
.?Avocado cilantro cream: blend on high 1 minced garlic clove, juice 1/2 lime, 1/2 large avocado, 1c cilantro (leaves + stems), 1/2c water, 1/4c yogurt, salt to taste.
