sometimes we make food choices based on what’s going NoUrIsH our bodies in the long term. ⠀
⠀
and sometimes we make food choice when we are hungry af, with our mates and/or drunk off 4.5 gin and tonics. ⠀
⠀
‘emotional eating’ (or allowing social situations to guide what we put in our mouths) is often coined as the bad guy we wanna avoid in a sweaty club. But making these kind of rules can actually exasperate our emotions – ones of guilt, shame and oh-my-god-Ive-fucked-it. ⠀
⠀
Food is here to help us live great lives. Most of the time that means lots of nutrient-dense, filling foods. But sometimes that means literally ordering a pizza because it’s delicious and round and juicy. If you unnecessarily beat yourself up for 3-5 working days following your Texas bbq – you might as well have not even bloody ordered it. It’s not logical. ⠀
⠀
Moderation isn’t bias. You’re allowed to enjoy ALL foods within it. So make sure you do that. ??? ⠀
