There’s an account I love to follow because I find the owner very inspirational. She writes the most beautiful motivational captions and she exudes a lot of positive energy…or so I thought.

She made an announcement today that I didn’t particularly understand so for the first time today (after following for over a year) I asked a genuine question. Her response was extremely rude and it was obvious she was being rude because she emphasised some parts of her answer in capital letters… of course I was mortified, and I felt like I was back in school.. you know like the kid who always asks the stupid questions? Maybe I was being too sensitive, but I explained that I didn’t completely understand her caption and that was the reason I asked, then added I was sorry to have upset her. I immediately deleted my comments and unfollowed her.

Why am I telling you this? No matter how big or small your account is and no matter how many times you think you’ve answered a question, please don’t be mean to a follower if they ask a question. I’ve realised that as some accounts get bigger, the owners get more cocky and rude when people ask questions. –
My account is certainly not the biggest, but it is not the smallest either. If I ever come across as mean, please don’t be afraid to call me out on it. I sincerely hope I don’t come across as mean or rude. I may not be able to respond to every single comment all the time, but believe me when I say that I appreciate all your comments and I’m always happy to help. My experience today bothered me a lot than it should have, perhaps I’m too soft ??♀️? I would hate to think that I make (or have made) anyone feel the same way. I’m really sorry if I have ?

All I was thinking for tonight’s dinner was simple with minimal chopping – this was the first thing that came to mind “Quinoa & Lentil Salad with a mustard dressing” so I made exactly that ?
